Floating LVP and LVT

Choose Lavalette Carpet and Tile for Floating Luxury Vinyl Flooring

LVP mimics the look of hardwood and a surface texture in plank form. LVT features the look of stone or concrete looks in a tile square. The floating nature of the flooring allows it to sit above the subfloor. Floating luxury vinyl flooring is durable, waterproof, and affordable. The installation costs are less than other flooring options.

Which Installation Method is Better, Glue-Down or Floating?

This is a very important decision and depends on several factors. Glue-down floors are better in high-traffic areas because they are more stable. If your surface is uneven, glue-down floors work best. If you want to update the flooring, new flooring will need to go on top of the glue-down floors.

Floating floors are easier to install onto the subfloor. There are two types of floating floor installation, loose lay or click. Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) and luxury vinyl tile (LVT) interlock and do not need glued down to the subfloor. Let the experts at Lavalette Carpet and Tile find the right installation method for your remodel. Contact us with any questions, or stop by our showroom.
